Ryan Reynolds sported long hair and a top knot as he played a younger version of his Deadpool character on the set of the latest instalment of the Marvel movie in the UK on Thursday.

The actor, 47, showed off his long brunette locks as he continued filming Deadpool 3 in the south of England. 

American star Ryan wore more chiselled version of his character's famous red suit as he portrayed Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool. In the scene, young Deadpool comes face to face with an older and very different version of himself, played by a stunt double, with a bald head and a face covered in prosthetic wrinkles and scars.

Between scenes Ryan wrapped up warm in a baggy navy blue coat in a bid to protect himself from the near-freezing weather.
