The Australian actor is not only known for his exceptional acting though, but his physique as well.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine journey spanned seventeen years, making him synonymous with the X-Men character. However, the intense growling and yelling took a toll on his vocal cords.

In an interview with the BBC, Jackman revealed, “My falsetto is not as strong as it used to be, and that I directly put down to some of the growling and yelling…

We learned a technique in school of how to shout and how to yell without ruining your voice. However, during Wolverine, I did some screaming and yelling and things that I think did damage to my voice.”

The actor acknowledged the damage caused during his Wolverine era, affecting his ability to hit the high notes.

While Wolverine is known for his adamantium claws and intense battles, Hugh Jackman is equally celebrated for his love of musicals. Starting his career on stage, Jackman won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in ‘Oklahoma‘.

However, the prolonged portrayal of Wolverine impacted his vocal abilities.

Jackman, a Broadway enthusiast, is committed to overcoming this challenge.

He shared, “I put a lot of effort into both physical movement and my vocal preparation for every role.” The actor, currently working with a vocal coach, aims to restore his falsetto for future musical performances.

The return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine brings a mix of nostalgia and anticipation for MCU enthusiasts.

As the claws make a comeback, fans wonder how this unexpected turn will shape the superhero cinematic landscape.

In the world of mutants and multiverses, one thing is certain, Jackman is ready for another round of singing.
